Living Room Show
We had the pleasure of hosting a Living Room Show at our house around a month ago. A couple of friends from the band Venna and from the band Joie De Vivre were kind enough to come and display their talents in an intimate setting to a small and great group of people. These are some very gifted people and I was overwhelmed with the beautiful sounds that were filling my living room.
The show ended with a sing-a-long to Jimmy Eat World's "A Praise Chorus", which was a perfect ending to the night.
We live in the middle of nowhere, so it is really great when people are willing to make the drive to hang out, and this was definitely a night for the books.
Below the photos are a handful of videos from the show.
"Mo mato mama?"

It's that time of year. Tomatoes are at their peak, and they are quite beautiful to photograph.
I have never had a green thumb, but I do enjoy going to farmers market to admire their bounty of goodness.
I also don't mind when someone is kind enough to give us a bag of them from their garden, which was the case here. :)
I catch my son trying to climb up on the counter to grab them. He pops cherry tomatoes in his mouth as if they're candy and would eat large ones like apples all day long if I'd let him.

Relentless Snow
Tuesday, March 5, 2013

What a white March day it was! Today our teeny family had quite a time playing in the snow...
The snow was so deep that Morris would trip and fall with every step, but he did not mind.
Excuse the blurriness on the photo of Morris and me, my husband does not know how to focus a camera. :)
We ended the day with chicken tortilla soup (vegetarian style, of course). We make a lot of tasty meals in this house, but we agreed this was one of the meals that made our tummies smile a whole heck of a lot. Welp, that's all. Happy Tuesday!
