Colorado/Manitou Springs

Friday, October 4, 2013

Here is my first post about my road trip through Colorado & New Mexico.  I decided to space them out by location.

After our arrival in Denver, we grabbed a bite to eat before heading to Colorado Springs.  This was the best thing I ate the entire trip, so it's totally worth posting.  This is a chain in Colorado called "Larkburger," I had their tuna burger and "edamame fries"...YUM.

The next morning we had our caffeine fix in Colorado Springs and headed to Manitou Springs, CO.
We were lucky to be able to visit.  Manitou Springs had been so severely flooded just days before that all roads into the town had been closed off.  It was a gamble knowing if we'd be able to drive there.  I'm glad we were able to because it is an adorable little town with cute shops and quite an extensive vintage arcade.

Our last stop before heading to our next destination was Garden of the Gods.  Krissy took us to her favorite rock.  It was quite an adventure getting there.

Ciara & Jared

Thursday, September 26, 2013

I did a very casual photo shoot with this couple, Ciara and Jared, in their adorable home.

Ciara and Jared were kind enough to come to my husband and mine's wedding in Mexico a couple years ago, and one day later Jared surprised Ciara with a proposal on the beach!  One year later they were married and now it has been one full year of marriage!

It has been fun watching them grow as a couple.  Ciara a dancer, and Jared a musician, the two have such an enthusiastic artistic spirit about them that is contagious when they are around.

Now with their new(ish) addition, Phinley, they are quite an adorable small family!

Glimpses of last month.

Happy Birthday Krissy!

Monday, September 9, 2013

My good friend Krissy came to town last month around the time of her birthday.
This excited me, because Krissy has been one of those people in my life that I have considered family since we became friends.  She is the sister I never had, and sadly, many miles separate us.
I decided to do a fun little birthday shoot with her, and even her camera shy mother joined in on some photos!
